Tenor Lucas Tannous is a Graduate in Music and Vocal Performance from Westminster Choir College. He also holds a Master of Music degree from The University of Illinois School of Music, and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Tannous has performed lead tenor roles in the classic opera repertoire with theaters in several U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C., Portland, OR and Houston, TX. He has also participated in several European summer programs including the University of Miami’s School of Music Program in Salzburg, Austria, Le Academie de Cimiez de Nice Pour Chanter, Nice, France and Le Sessione Senese per La Musica e l’Arte, Siena, Italy.
In addition to his musical career, Mr. Tannous holds a Master of Arts degree in speech-language pathology from Lehman College, CUNY. As a speech-language pathologist, he is certified by the World Learning SIT Graduate Institute in TESOL, and has taught as an ESL teacher in the Professional Department of the Rennert School for English in New York City, as well as at the Lehman College, CUNY Department of Continuing Education.
Dr. Thomas Nassif began piano studies as a child in his native town of Rowlesburg, WV, under Naomi Hooten, continuing with Ruby Ward of Kingwood, WV and later with Oliver Manning and Miriam Gainer Goder, while completing pre-medicine studies at West Virginia University.
He completed his first two years of medical studies at West Virginia University and received his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was an associate professor of anesthesiology at George Washington University in DC.
A former flight surgeon and now retired colonel of the U.S.A.F., Dr. Nassif’s tours of duty included Spain, where he studied Spanish repertory with Concepcion Badia and Carmen Coll and more recently, in the U.S. with pianist Miguel Valdés. He has accompanied his wife, Cristina Herrera de Nassif, their daughter, Cristina Nassif, and other soloists, in numerous recitals here and abroad.

The ladies in Motown Strutters are from Morgantown, Mt. Morris, and Kingwood.
